In 1984, while playing one of my first mixed tapes with Clear’s “Cybotron” on my boom box. I was chased down the street in suburban California by a truck full of “skaters” popping a gun off in the air and yelling “kill that ni**er music”

By 1994 the same “breed” of kids will spend the next 20 years trying to covet my music and DJ culture.
